The Piper PA-24 Comanche is a four-seat, low-wing, all-metal, light aircraft of semi-monocoque construction with tricycle retractable landing gear. Piper Aircraft designed and developed the Comanche; it first flew on May 24, 1956. Together with the Twin Comanche, it made up the core of the Piper Aircraft lineup until 1972, when the production lines for both aircraft were wiped out in a flood.

The Piper PA-30 Twin Comanche (later PA-39) was designed as a twin-engined variant of the Piper PA-24 Comanche. A complex light twin, with retractable landing gear, seating 4 (in original models) to 6 (in later models), and cruise speeds ranging from 160-210 mph on twin 150-160 horsepower engines, it competed with the more-powerful Cessna 310. One of the fastest and most economical Twin Comanche's, uses less than 14 GPH @ 170 Knots. Eaglesoft Flight Sim. Has developed and released FSX N204WT. Equipped with PAV 80.
